I’m a reasonably smart person, but I was in my 20s before I realized books and articles were written by actual people (yes, I’m a slow learner). Once I figured that out, I started writing for publication myself and sold my first piece to a national food magazine. After writing about food for several years, I switched to writing fiction, sold a handful of stories to pulp confession magazines, and published three novellas with a small e-press. I’m now working hard on my novel-writing chops.
When I’m not writing, I like to read, knit, cook tasty plants, binge-listen to podcasts, make cocktails, and run without being chased.
